We are Ofsted regulated and have been 'Outstanding' for several years. We provide care for looked after children from all local authorities, where they have been removed from their families for protection. The children that reside within the home have needs such as early life trauma, learning needs, mental health needs to include diagnosis of ADHD, Autism and Anxiety needs. We care for a maximum of up to 6 children between the ages of 6-13 years, however our approval is for 0-18 years. The children who we care for are likely to have not been able to settle within fostering households and require therapeutic care in order to help them return to a family setting in the future. We have a staff team of approximately 15 staff, not all staff come into the home, some are working from our offices in Ampthill, generally we have 4 staff working on shift each day and they work a 16 hour shift, we have a manager and an administrator. Staff arrive on shift at 6:30am and work until 10:30pm, our admin and Manager work more office hours. Two staff sleep in each evening to provide care to the children, these change daily. No staff live within the home. We have sufficient parking for staff cars and the house cars. Since operating we have worked closely with our neighbours to build a good relationship with many and we ensure that we are neighbourly and support the local community. The children we care for attend education and take part in local activities, they are mostly settled children who cause minimal impact. The plan is to work closely with the children to get them ready to return back to family life.
