Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed extensions would add to previous extensions and produce a substantial enlargement of the original cottage. The resultant form of the extensions, by reason of their scale, size and relationship with the original cottage, which is one of a joined pair, and especially by reason of the tall gabled side extension, would fail to take adequate account of the visual form and would disturb the balance of the original house and semi-detached block. This relationship, which would harm the character of the locality, would be contrary to Policy 10 of the Bedfordshire Structure Plan 2011, Policies BE11 and H9 of the South bedfordshire Local Plan and Policies BE8 and H8 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review Deposit (and Proposed Modifications).
