Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed extensions would, because of their size, siting and appearance, result in a disproportionate increase in the size of the original dwelling so being inappropriate in and affecting the openness of the Green Belt. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policy 24 of the Bedfordshire Structure Plan 2011, Policy H14 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan and Policy H13 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review Deposit (and Proposed Modifications).
2) To permit the proposed development on land which is located in predominantly open countryside within the Green Belt and against a background of existing planning policies would establish a precedent whereby it would be difficult for the District Planning Authority to resist other similar proposals elsewhere in its area.
