Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - SB/04/00335
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The fence, by reason of its excessive height, unsympathetic design and prominent corner siting, detracts from the character of the streetscene and is harmful to the established character of the area. The development is therefore contrary to Policy 10 of the Bedfordshire Structure Plan 2011 and Policy BE8 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review.
2) If permitted, the proposal would create a precedent whereby it would be difficult for the District Planning Authority to resist similar proposals to the further detriment of the locality.
