1) The proposed garage by reason of its scale and siting would result in an overbearing impact and loss of privacy to adjoining residential properties and adversely impact upon the street scene. This would be contrary to Policy BE1 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan 1993, Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review Deposit Draft Incorporating Pre-Inquiry Changes 1999 and guidance within Supplementary Planning Guidance: House Extensions and Alterations 1997.
