Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed gates, piers, railings and columns by reason of their height and extent across the whole frontage represent an undesirable form of development inappropriate to and at variance with the prevailing form of development in the locality. The proposal will therefore be contrary to the established residential character and street scene and will have a significant adverse impact on the appearance of the area. As such the proposal is contrary to Policy DPS5 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review Deposit Draft 1997.
