Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - SB/05/01213
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The site lies within the South Bedfordshire Green Belt and the proposed development would conflict with Policy 24 of the Bedfordshire Structure Plan 2011 and Policy GB1 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review whereby, within the Green Belt, permission will not be granted except in very special circumstances for development for purposes other than agriculture and forestry, mineral working, small scale facilities for outdoor sport and outdoor recreation or other uses appropriate to a rural area which preserve the openness of the Green Belt. No special circumstances have been established in this case.
2) The development would conflict with Policy 6 of the Bedfordshire Structure Plan 2011 and Policies NE1, NE2, NE3 and GB1 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review, which seek to preserve the high quality of the landscape of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and an Area of Great Landscape Value and to resist development which would have an adverse effect on it. To permit this development would have an adverse effect on the landscape, the natural beauty of the area and the openness of the Green Belt.
