Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - MB/04/00384/FULL
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The fence is of a scale and design that, given its prominent position in an estate characterised by soft boundary treatment and is open in character, results in an undesirable and unacceptable form of development such that it would have an adverse impact on the character and appearance of the area; as such the proposal is contrary to Policy BE1 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan Adopted 1993 and Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review (Deposit Draft) 2003 as proposed to be amended.
2) The boundary wall severely restricts visibility across the pedestrian footpath adjacent to the car parking area so as to cause danger and inconvenience of users of the footpath; as such the proposal is contrary to Policy BE1 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan 1993 and Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review (Deposit Draft) 2003 as proposed to be changed.
