Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - MB/04/00622/FULL
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed extension, by nature of its location, scale and bulk, would result in an domineering and cramped form of development at odds with the surrounding properties and to the detriment of the character and appearance of the streetscene; as such the proposal is contrary to Policy BE1 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan Adopted 1993 and Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review (Deposit Draft) 2003 as proposed to be amended.
2) The first floor windows in the eastern elevation of the proposed extension would result in an unnaceptable amount of overlooking into the rear garden of No. 1 Sailsbury Road to the adverse impact on the amenities of the occupiers; as such the proposal is contrary to Policy BE1 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan Adopted 1993 and Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review (Deposit Draft) 2003 as proposed to be amended.
