2) The proposal would result in an undesirable and unacceptable form of development such that it would have an adverse impact on the character of the area and the amenities, outlook and privacy of the occupiers of nearby residential properties. As such the proposal would be contrary to Policy BE1 of the adopted Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan and Policies DPS5 and DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review incorporating Proposed Modifications (2003) and the Mid Bedfordshire District Councils Adopted Supplementary Planning Guidance for House Extensions and Alterations 1997.
