Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - MB/04/01900/FULL
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The site lies outside of the Settlement Envelope for Clophill as defined in the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review Deposit Draft Incorporating (Proposed Modifications) 2003. As such the proposed erection of a bungalow would be contrary to Adopted Mid Beds Local Plan Policy H4, Mid Beds Local Plan First Review (Proposed Modifications) Policy H06 and Bedfordshire County Structure Plan 2011 Policy 35.
2) The proposed development constitutes an undesirable form of backland development in that it would appear as an undesirable extension of residential development into the generally open rural area to the detriment of the visual amenities of the area. This would be contrary to Policy DPS5 of the Mid Beds Local Plan First Review Incorporating (Proposed Modifications) 2003 and Policy BE1 of the Adopted Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan 1993.
