Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - SB/06/00166
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The application site is too restricted in size for the proposed development which would appear cramped in relation to adjoining buildings and out of character with the surrounding area and would allow insufficient space about the buildings for the enjoyment of the occupants. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policy 10 of the Bedfordshire Structure Plan 2011 and Policies H2, H6 and BE8 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review.
2) The proposed development would, because of its size, bulk, siting and unsympathetic design, appear unduly obtrusive and overbearing to adjoining properties. The proposal is therefore contrary to the principles of good design set out in Policy 10 of the Bedfordshire Structure Plan 2011 and Policies BE8 and H8 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review.
