Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - MB/05/00659/FULL
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed two storey side extension would not be set down from the main roof ridge or set in from the rear of the main dwelling and as such would not be a subservient addition to the original dwelling. As such the extension would represent an unacceptable enlargement of the dwelling to the detriment of the character and appearance of the streetscene. The proposal is contrary to Policy DPS 6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review Draft Deposit Incorporating Proposed Modifications 2003 and to the Council's Design Guide for Householders 2004.
2) The proposal, by nature of the excessive site coverage of buildings would result in an unacceptable overdevelopment of the site and detrimental loss of amenity space to this family sized dwelling. As such the proposal is contrary to Policy DPS 6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review Draft Deposit Incorporating Proposed Modifications 2003.
