1) The proposed extension, by nature of its size and design, represents an unacceptable enlargement of the dwelling to the detriment of the character and appearance of the streetscene and as such the proposal is contrary to Policy DPS 6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review Draft Deposit incorporating Proposed Modifications and this Council's Technical Planning Guidance: Extensions and Alterations: A Design Guide for Householders 2004.
