Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed extension by reason of its scale, design and location would have an adverse impact upon the character of the area and streetscene. This would be contrary to Policy BE1 of the adopted Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan(1993), Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review Draft Deposit Incorporating Proposed Modifications (2003) and Supplementary Planning Guidance: Extensions and Alterations (2004).
2) The proposed extension due to its scale, design and location would have an adverse impact upon the amenities of Nos. 34 and 38 Barford Road. The proposed extension would be overbearing and cause overshadowing to No. 34 Barford Road. This would be contrary to Policy BE1 of the Mid Beds Local Plan 1993, Policy DPS6 of the Mid Beds Local Plan First Review Incorporating Proposed Modifications (2003) and Supplementary Planning Guidance: Extensions and Alterations (2004).
