The proposal by reason of its design does not preserve the character and appearance of the dwelling and causes unacceptable overlooking to the neighbour at 13 The Grove and as such the proposal is contrary to Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review (Deposit Draft) 1997 as proposed to be amended and Technical Planning Guidance: Extensions and Alterations: A Design Guide for Householders 2004.
