Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - MB/06/01353/FULL
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed development, by nature of its location outside the Shillington Settlement Envelope, would have a detrimental impact on the visual appearance and rural character of the locality contrary to Policy HO6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review (Deposit Draft) 1997 as proposed to be amended.
2) The site for the proposed dwelling cannot accommodate adequate facilities to enable vehicles to turn within it and so enter and leave the highway in forward gear which is considered essential in the interests of highway safety; as such the proposal is contrary to Policy DPS5 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan 2005.
3) The proposed extension by reason of its design and roof form fails to relate sympathetically to the design and appearance of the existing dwelling and would appear incongruous and out of keeping, to the detriment of the visual amenities of the area; as such the proposal is contrary to Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan 2005.
