Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - MB/06/01800/FULL
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposal, by nature of the size of the extensions in comparison with the original dwelling, would result in a disproportionate extension to a building in a Green Belt location and cumulatively, when considered with the amount of off-street parking required to satisfy the Council's current standards, would be harmful to the character and openness of the Green Belt where restrictive planning policies apply; as such the proposal is contrary to Policies GBT1, GBT2 and DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan 2005.
2) The proposal fails to make adequate provision for off-street parking in accordance with the Council's standards. This would be likely to result in additional on-street parking to the detriment of the safety and free flow of traffic and general amenity in the area; as such the proposal is contrary to Policy DPS5 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan 2005.
3) The need to attenuate noise within the garden area could result in the erection of visually inappropriate boundary treatments, leading to potential harm to the visual appearance of the countryside and the Green Belt. This would be contrary to Policies GBT1, GBT2 and DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan 2005.
