Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - SB/06/00573
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The site lies within the South Bedfordshire Green Belt and the proposed garage would, taken together with the previous extensions to this property, result in a harm to the openness of the Green Belt, and would be contrary to Policy 24 of the Bedfordshire Structure Plan 2011 and Policies GB1 and H13 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review.
2) The proposed development would, because of its size and unsympathetic design, be out of character with the existing dwelling. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policy 10 of the Bedfordshire Structure Plan 2011 and Policies H8 and BE8 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review.
3) The proposal would conflict with Policy 7 of the Bedfordshire Structure Plan 2011 and Policy NE3 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review, which state that development which would adversely affect the character of areas defined as being of Great Landscape Value will not normally be permitted. To permit this proposal would have an adverse effect on the landscape.
