Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - MB/06/01872/FULL
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed two storey extension, by reason of its overall width and consequently its proximity to the side boundary with Windmill View, would result in an imposing and dominant feature in the street scene, which in turn would adversely affect the open character and appearance of the area at this point. As such the proposal would conflict with Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review December 2005 and to Supplementary Planning Guidance in respect of extensions and alterations.
2) The proposed two storey extension, by reason of its overall depth and proximity to the boundaries of both neighbouring properties, in particular No. 67 Brunel Drive, would result in an overbearing impact and potential loss of light, to the detriment of the amenities of neighbours. As such the proposal would conflict with Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review December 2005 and to the Supplementary Planning Guidance in respect of extensions and alterations.
