Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - MB/06/01904/FULL
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed side extension will, by reason of its size, siting and design and being built up to the shared boundary with the neighbouring property, have the appearance of a bulky and large addition out of keeping with the property itself and by reason of being up to the shared boundary of the site with the neighbouring property lead to a terracing effect to the detriment of the character and appearance of the street scene. This would be in conflict with Mid Beds Local Plan Policy DPS6 and this Authority's Design Guide on House Extensions and Alterations.
2) The extension will by reason of its size, siting, design and being set forward of the neighbouring dwelling to the east have an overbearing impact on the occupiers of this property resulting in loss of light and overshadowing. This would be in conflict with Mid Beds Local Plan Policy DPS6.
