1) The proposal represents a dominant and intrusive feature in the street scene and would have an adverse impact on the character and appearance of the streetscene; as such the proposal is contrary to Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review 2005 and this Authority's Technical Guidance Extensions and Alterations: A Design Guide for Householders 2004.
