Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed two storey side extensions are not set back from the front face of the dwelling by one metre and have not been set down from the ridge of the existing dwelling. The proposal, therefore by nature of its resultant width and the associated loss of visual space represents an unacceptable enlargement of the dwelling to the detriment of the character and appearance of the streetscene and the amenities of adjoining occupiers; as such the proposal is contrary to Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review 2005 and Technical Planning Guidance Extensions and Alterations: A Design Guide for Householders 2004.
