The proposed extension, by nature of its design, represents an unacceptable enlargement of the dwelling to the detriment of the character and appearance of the dwelling and the streetscene; as such the proposal is contrary to Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan First Review 2005 Technical Planning Guidance "Residential Extensions - A Design Guide for Householders".
