1) The proposed two storey extension, by nature of its size and design, represents an unacceptable enlargement of the dwelling to the detriment of the character and appearance of the streetscene; as such the proposal is contrary to policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan (2005) and Supplementary Planning Guidance: Extensions and Alterations: A Design Guide for Householders (2004)
