Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - MB/08/00929/FULL
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed fence would present a hard edge to the streetscene of inappropriate materials and as such is considered to be an incongruous feature such as to fail caveat (iv) of Policy DPS6 of the Mid Beds Local Plan, First Review, Adopted December 2005.
2) The proposed fence would create a degree of enclosure to the adjacent garage court that would substantially reduce the opportunity to overlook this area from within the streetscene, leading to an increased risk of criminal activity, contrary to Policy DPS23 of the Mid Beds Local Plan First Review, Adopted December 2005.
3) The siting of the proposed fence would restrict visibility for drivers exiting the adjacent garage court to the detriment of the safety of users of the adjacent footway and thus be contrary to Policy DPS5 of the Mid Beds Local Plan, First Review, Adopted December 2005.
