Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - SB/06/01100
Conditions or Reasons:
1) a. This consent is limited to a period of five years from the date of this decision.
REASON: To comply with Regulation 13 of the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) Regulations 1992.
b. All advertisements displayed, and any site used for the display of advertisements, shall be maintained in a clean and tidy condition to the reasonable satisfaction of the District Planning Authority.
c. Any structure or hoarding erected or used principally for the purpose of displaying advertisements shall be maintained in a safe condition.
d. Where any advertisement is required under these Regulations to be removed, the removal shall be carried out to the reasonable satisfaction of the District Planning Authority.
e. No advertisement is to be displayed without the permission of the owner of the site or any other person with an interest in the site entitled to grant permission.
f. No advertisement shall be sited or displayed so as to obscure or hinder the ready interpretation of, any road traffic sign, railway signal or aid to navigation by water or air, or so as otherwise to render hazardous the use of any highway, railway, waterway (including any coastal waters) or aerodrome (civil or military).
REASON - Conditions b-f: To comply with the provisions of Schedule 1 (Regulation 2(1)) of the Town and Country Planning (Control of Advertisements) Regulations 1992.
2) The illumination of the advertisement display shall be static and non-intermittent to avoid distraction of trunk road users.
REASON: To protect the visual amenities of the area and/or highway safety.
3) The standard of luminance shall comply with the recommendations of the Institution of Lighting Engineers' Technical Report No 5 of 1991 - "Brightness of Illuminated Advertisements".
REASON: To prevent glare and dazzle in the interest of highway safety.
4) The proposed sign shall have a maximum luminance of 2000 candelas per square metre.
REASON: To avoid glare or undue distraction to road users in the interest of road safety.
5) This consent relates only to the details shown on the Site Location Plan and the drawing labelled "Insignia II Build Specification. ver.2.0" received 26/09/06 or to any subsequent appropriately endorsed revised plan.
REASON: To identify the approved plan/s and to avoid doubt.
