1) The proposal, by reason of its size, siting and design, would have an adverse impact upon the amenities of the adjacent property, No. 56a, by way of light loss and overbearing impact; as such the proposal is contrary to Policy DPS6 of the Mid Bedfordshire Local Plan Adopted 2005, PPS1 Delivering Sustainable Development (2005) and Supplementary Planning Guidance: Extensions and Alterations: A Design Guide for Householders (2004).
