Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - SB/07/00734
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed dwelling would, by reason of its scale, siting and design, result in an obtrusive, incongruous, overbearing and generally cramped form of development that would fail to respect and enhance the character of the surrounding area and would detract from the amenity of neighbouring occupiers and the surrounding area generally. The proposal would thereby be contrary to Policy 10 of the Bedfordshire Structure Plan 2011 and Policies BE8 and H2 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review.
2) The proposal would fail to provide satisfactory off street parking provision and would consequently result in the increase in kerbside parking in a manner that would detract from the free flow of traffic and highway safety. The proposal would thereby be contrary to Policies 10 and 42 of the Bedfordshire Structure Plan 2011 and Policies T1, T10 and H2 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review.
