Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - CB/13/03482/FULL
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed first floor front extension would, because of its inappropriate design, including the excessive width, dominate and be out of character with the existing dwelling and other similar properties in the street and would disrupt the symmetry currently existing within the pair of semi-detached dwellings, in a manner that would be harmful to the visual amenities of the street scene and of nearby residents. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policies H8 and BE8 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review, Policy 43 of the emerging Development Strategy for Central Bedfordshire and Design in Central Bedfordshire: A Guide for Development and the principles of good design as set out in the National Planning Policy Framework.
