Conditions or Reasons:
1) The advertisement by reason of the materials of construction, colours, boxy design and internal illumination, projecting over the footpath of the Highway is detrimental to the visual amenity of the area and to the character of this part of the Sandy Conservation Area, and as such is detrimental to the visual amenities of the building, the street scene and to the character and setting of the Conservation Area. The signage is contrary to the aims of the National Planning Policy Framework (2012), Planning Practice Guidance, policies CS14, CS15, DM3 and DM13 of the Core Strategy and Development Management Policies (2009), Design in Central Bedfordshire: A Guide for Development (2010) and the Sandy Conservation Area Appraisal (2003).
