Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - SB/08/00637
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The site is too restricted to allow a satisfactory form of development to be carried out and would allow insufficient space about the building for the enjoyment of the occupants. Furthermore the proposed development would appear cramped in relation to adjoining buildings and out of character with the surrounding area and by reason of its siting and design, fail to complement or harmonise with local surroundings and adjoining buildings and detract from the visual and residential amenity of the occupiers of adjacent dwellings. The proposal is therefore contrary to the principles of good design as set out in national guidance within Planning Policy Statement 1 'Delivering Sustainable Development' and Planning Policy Statement 3 'Housing' and contrary to the provisions of Policies H2 and BE8 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review.
