Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed two storey side extension would by virtue of its proximity to the boundary, its pronounced lack of subordination, its projection forward of the neighbouring property and the change in levels between properties would result in a cramped form of development to the detriment of the existing dwelling and the wider street scene. The proposal is therefore contrary to the principles of good design as set out in the National Planning Policy Framework, Policies BE8 and H8 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review, Policy 43 of the emerging Development Strategy for Central Bedfordshire and Design Supplement 7: Householder Alterations and Extensions of the Central Bedfordshire Design Guide.
