Conditions or Reasons:
1) The sign is, by reason of its design, siting and means of illumination be visually intrusive and detrimental to the character and appearance of the Listed Building and Conservation Area. The continued display of the sign is therefore contrary to national advice contained in Planning Policy Guidance 19 'Outdoor Advertisement Control', Planning Policy Guidance 15 'Planning and the Historic Environment' and Planning Policy Statement 1 'Delivering Sustainable Development' and Policy BE8 of the South Bedfordshire Local Plan Review and Supplementary Planning Guidance 'Shop Signs and other Advertisements 2004".
