Prior to development commencing the applicant shall submit a scheme of noise mitigation
measures to mitigate noise from the funeral parlour use to the Local Planning Authority for written
approval. The scheme shall include details on independent ceiling construction, structural wall
insulation upgrade, compressor unit box-in, electric vehicle provision. The agreed scheme shall be
implemented in full prior to the funeral parlour use commencing.
Reason: To protect the amenity of neighbouring residents from noise arising from the funeral
parlour use.
2. The funeral parlour shall only be open to customers between the hours of 0900 to 1700
Mondays to Fridays and at no other time.
Reason: to protect the amenity of neighbouring residents.
2. Equipment shall be installed to effectively suppress and disperse fumes and/or odours
produced by the funeral parlour use, and the equipment shall be effectively operated for so long
as the use continues. Full details of the method of odour abatement and all odour abatement
equipment to be used, including predicted noise levels of the equipment in operation, shall be
submitted to and approved by the Local Planning Authority prior to the installation of the
equipment. The approved equipment shall be installed and in full working order to the satisfaction
of the Local Planning Authority prior to the use hereby permitted commencing.
Reason: In order to prevent the adverse impact of odours arising from funeral parlour activities on
the amenity of nearby residents.
3. The ventilation and extraction system approved in accordance with condition x above shall be
so enclosed, operated and/or attenuated that noise arising from such plant shall not exceed the
existing background level when measured or calculated according to BS4142:2014, at a point
one metre external to the nearest noise sensitive building. The applicant shall clearly demonstrate
that noise from the installed plant achieves the required noise standard, prior to the use hereby
permitted commencing.
Reason: To protect neighbouring residents from any adverse impact from noise arising from the
extract ventilation system. |
