Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposed telecommunications mast, standing at 15 metres tall above ground level, would have a detrimental visual impact due to its form, height, scale and positioning. The proposed mast would significantly intrude into the open skyline by projecting above existing adjacent street furniture and buildings, and so would appear as a prominent and incongruous feature in the streetscene when viewed in the local area. It is considered that the identified visual harm of the proposal cannot be adequately mitigated through visual screening such as additional soft landscaping. The proposal is therefore contrary to policies HQ1 and HQ5 of the Central Bedfordshire Local Plan and section 12 of the NPPF.
