Conditions or Reasons for Planning Application - CB/25/00565/ADV
Conditions or Reasons:
1) The proposal due to its prominent siting adjacent the highway would appear incongruous within the street scene and would be harmful to the character of the street scene. Therefore, the proposed advertisement would be detrimental to the visual amenity of the streetscene in contrary with Policy HQ1 of the Central Bedfordshire Local Plan, the Central Bedfordshire Design Guide (2023) and Section 12 of the NPPF.
2) The proposed cycling digital advertising display would cause distraction to road users in a busy High Street environment. If permitted, the proposal would lead to undue hazards to road users affecting public safety, conflicting with Policy T2 of the CBLP and Section 9 of the National Planning Policy Framework (December 2024).
