1 )The applicant is advised that, under the provisions of the Highways Act 1980, no part of the structure, including foundations, lighting, planting, steps and surface water hardware shall be erected or installed in, under or overhanging the public highway and no window, door or gate shall be fixed so as to open outwards into the highway. The Highway Authority has the power under Section 143 of the Highways Act 1980, to remove any structure erected on a highway.The applicant is advised that, under the provisions of the Highways Act 1980, no part of the structure, including foundations, lighting, planting, steps and surface water hardware shall be erected or installed in, under or overhanging the public highway and no window, door or gate shall be fixed so as to open outwards into the highway. 2 )The applicant is advised that, notwithstanding any consent which may be issued under the provision of the Town and County Planning Acts it is an offence under Section 143 of the Highways Act 1980, to erect any advertisement sign in the confines of the highway so that it causes an obstruction. 5 )Not withstanding the consent issued under the Town and Country Planning Act, a licence issued under the provisions of Section 178 of the Highways Act 1980 is required prior to the erection of any part of the projection into or over the public highway.
