3 )The applicant is advised that no works associated with the construction of the vehicular access should be carried out within the confines of the public highway without prior consent, in writing, of the Central Bedfordshire Council. Upon receipt of this Notice of Planning Approval, the applicant is advised to follow this link on the Council website Dropped kerb - applications, conditions and limitations | Central Bedfordshire Council or contact Central Bedfordshire Council Tel: 0300 300 8301 quoting the Planning Application number. This will enable the necessary consent and procedures under Section 184 of the Highways Act to be implemented. Development includes fencing, planting and landscaping. This requirement, made under the Land Drainage Act is independent of planning permission and not superseded by it. Planning permission therefore does not automatically provide consent. The requirement applies within the Board's districts and those controlled by Central Bedfordshire Council. The Boars processed Land Drainage Consents for the Council under contract. The applicant has not indicated how they will dispose of stormwater from this site. Should they wish the method to be via a watercourse, consent must be sought as above.
