)Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue have identified that the location of the site could make it impractical for fire hydrants to be installed. Having completed a risk-based assessment of the proposed site and the available water supplies for firefighting, they would consider the installation of domestic sprinklers as an alternative to the installation of a fire hydrant.
Specific Detail: The proposed dwelling is approximately 230 metres from the main road and over 400 metres from the nearest fire hydrant. The developer should fit a sprinkler system due to the excessive distance from a fire hydrant.Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue have identified that the location of the site could make it impractical for fire hydrants to be installed.
